London. Near future. Adam Walker is haunted by a woman he's never met.
Burned out, he takes a contract at a state department he's never heard of, overseeing the transition to AI government.
A junk email changes him. A sequence of words, buried in spam, rewires his brain. Walker has the illlness [sic], a virus transmitted by words. Attacking the temporal lobes, it dissolves identity.
Walker is not alone. His predecessor, Mu, has vanished. The AI can no longer see him.
Walker must find Mu before he broadcasts.
LIGHT is a philosopical thrilller on the brink of a new era — total surveillance, ecological collapse — or something much older.
Part ghost story, part encrypted prophecy, part viral transmission, LIGHT explores human identity in its ultimate metamorphosis.
